I really enjoyed your blog. I too am often nicknamed "The Problem Solver" at our school. When something is troubling a group of teachers, we discuss it and then I usually work on a solution before taking it to my principal. Going in the office with a solution in hand has much greater results than just complaining. I really never realized that what we were doing was action research though.
